On Defending Liberty

The Founders, many of whom were Bible-believing Christians, understood that liberty was Heaven's gift and obeyed the divine injunction to defend it. Many in the American church today are happy to luxuriate in the benefits of liberty but will not defend it, for ostensibly Biblical reasons. These conveniently-misguided souls have lost sight of the fact that the liberty purchased and preserved by the blood of patriots resulted in a messianic American republic that has sent millions of Christian missionaries into a world languishing under the cruel yoke of the father of all tyrants, the devil. Billions from every "nation, and kindred, and people, and tongue" will luxuriate in Heaven's perfect liberty for eternity because Christian American patriots saw fit to defend liberty in time.

“I always consider the settlement of America with reverence and wonder, as the opening of a grand scene and design in providence, for the illumination of the ignorant and the emancipation of the slavish part of mankind all over the earth.”

--John Adams (October 30, 1735 – July 4, 1826)
